Mustang bass floppy E string question

I have a Mustang bass with Chromes flatwounds on it that I really like. Except for the E string, which doesn't have enough tension. It's all floppy.

Is there any other similar string I could buy individually that would fit a Mustang (short scale but through body so it's more like medium scale strings) and that would have better tension ?

I'm even considering getting a roundwound just for the E, if that's easier. This could actually be good fit, if it doesn't fuck up anything else somehow (the bass is nicely set up now and I don't have tons of time to do it all over again these days)...

I have a set of Labella Jamersons on my Bronco and the E is not too too floppy. There are lots of string brands where one string is floppier than the rest. With Thomastik flats, it's the A. The crazy guy who makes Zack-ary guitars, makes bass strings that are progressive in tension, so each string should feel appropriately tense. They work in that regard. Unfortunately, they go dead after a month.

I dunno about roundwounds. I have never used them.

Get the Labella Mustang Bass flats.

I've had them on both of my Mustang basses and they're pretty much perfect. No, you can't buy them individually but they're really nice strings.

What are the gauges in the pack now?
I think round wounds have less tension than flats of the same gauge so that may make it more floppy?
daddario makes a set of 10-52 halfrounds that sound pretty good for light top heavy bottom if you are using lighter gauge string sets
Thomastick Infelds are the best feeling strings to me in terms of tension (and sound, lifespan)

45-100 for the medium scale Chromes. I'd probably like a 105 better but that doesn't seem to exist in this range.

If the Roto 77 short scale strings are anything like their long scale, tons of tension. I used 110 for drop C tuning. Might have been a bit floppy for fast stuff.
