Interesting or gimmick?
Price seems fairly reasonable if you think of it as a synth module/interface rather than a guitar pedal (concerning the Squaver1, at least).
It's been a few of years since I last really studied synthesis, so I don't remember if an "audio controlled oscillator" already exists (one that doesn't involve midi or some sort of triggering/PLL, at least).
