EGC Bolt-on Neck Projects
It turns out that a few of us got onto this run of EGC's bolt-on necks. So I thought, why not make a thread of this particular piece of awesomeness?
Who's getting one?
What are you planning for it?
Post pictures when you can!

Re: EGC Bolt-on Neck Projects
I paid mine today. H @ EGC said that, assuming no interruptions in production/finishing, that mine'll be shipped out the week of the 20th.

Really? Did they ask if you wanted the final invoice? She mentioned mine would be done in "a day or so." That was Tuesday. Yeah, I expect to wait too.

I got in on this run and I plan to build up a jazzmaster. This is gonna be my first attempt at building something from scratch so I'm nervous and excited at the same time! I will definitely follow this thread and post updates on how things are going.

I asked them for the final invoice since I had the money, and then asked for an estimate on shipping.codetocontra wrote:Really? Did they ask if you wanted the final invoice? She mentioned mine would be done in "a day or so." That was Tuesday. Yeah, I expect to wait too.

Re: EGC Bolt-on Neck Projects
Hmmm. Normally they send tracking info but I did receive a pickguard without it once. I am pretty sure I was in the original order geoup when it was just going to be 15. But I really dont know anything. Hopes are now up that Fed Ex drops by today.

Just saw a second one on the FB group, so they're definitely going out! This one was mounted to a P90 neck tele.

Re: EGC Bolt-on Neck Projects
Seen three people who have received theirs so far, Kevin said they've shipped 9 so far. Didn't want to pester Hillary with questions but figure it's gotta be here before the end of the month. I got a 24" neck which will be going on a custom body I did which is meant to be somewhere between a Mustang and a Jagstang. Pretty high anticipation levels currently.

Can't wait to see these projects. I wanted to get in on this run but forgot all about it.

Re: EGC Bolt-on Neck Projects
I bought an EGC bridge pickup (shown there with tape on it). Was actually thinking about putting a Sustainiac in the neck. I have a lot of work to do to make this all work. The pickguard doesn't fit quite right and the bridge pickup cavity needs moved a bit away from the bridge.
Suprised that this neck is pretty heavy and relatively thick. Maybe similar to my old SG Standard. I am used to my EGC thin neck now.
*edit: purchased BRIDGE pickup, not neck. I'm dumb.

Re: EGC Bolt-on Neck Projects
Can you post pictures comparing the thickness? I should be OK, my LP has a kind of thick neck, but am a little sad it's not the EGC thin!
