If you can be gentle with it or rehouse it, those $49 Arions aren't a bad way to go.

I had a Rocktek Chorus many years ago that was a big favourite - it wasn't super lush but very warm and enjoyable. If you look around I'm sure you can find one - they're pretty cheap.
