Lucky Star Guitars here in Lethbridge is basically two or three blues dad's vast personal selection of vintage gear for sale. I bought two guitars from them, and they are the first place I'd go to get a $1000+ guitar or bass.

One major downside is these guys don't have a website.

What is wrong with blues?
Tom Waits have lots of blues inspiration.
And Tom Waits is cool.

There's a lot of blues roots in PJ Harvey's music.
PJ is cool too.

Thanks for the info. :thumb:

I hadn't heard of that store before, I'll have to check it out on my next trip out of the burbs.

Hahaha
No, one co-owner has a preteen daughter, I know this because she came to the store and gave her dad a delicious smelling stew for supper; then they talked about banjos. This was the best experience I had window shopping.

This place is really tiny so you're not going to find a wide selection, but most of the stuff they have is pretty cool.
I also didn't get the reference until I passed by it like 10 times.

Avenue Guitars in Edmonton let me sit down and play whatever I wanted for a couple of hours when I was there, so I'm down with those guys. Had some nice stuff, too: http://www.avenue-guitars.com/

There used to be so many good ones in Montreal and they all turned to shit. It's pretty sad.
