Swastika Girls - New Solo Project

Post by archlilim »

I recorded the first song of my drone/ambient solo project. I don't know if anyone is into this kinda shite, but let me know what you think. Song is called Failed Transmission.

I definitely like it a lot. Nice mix of rumbling guitar and soft sounds buried in there, I could listen to that kind of stuff for ages. Really good. Made me think a little bit of the earlier stuff Jesu did, before Broadrick went pop :grumpy:

Good stuff!

What did you use to make this?
You just need a passive bass, a tube amp, and a metric ton of marijuana and Sabbath worship.

For the doomy guitars I did - Jazzmaster (drop A) > Shoe Gazer > Boss RE-20 > Orange AD30 > direct into Macbook > tons of garageband reverb

There were two other guitar tracks at standard drop D tunings. I used a Digitech Whammy with the Disaster Fuzz to get dolphin sounds. And then just a Soda Meiser for regular improving on the first string. Both into the RE-20.

I used a MicroKORG for all the synth stuff.

That's for "Failed Transmission."

Thanks for the words, dragline. I'm a big fan of early Jesu, so I appreciate that. I also know what you mean about listening all day. Drone is a type of music that when it clicks, it clicks severely. :omg:
