I don't know how many of you are into this kind of "music", but goddamn. This album slays.

You just need a passive bass, a tube amp, and a metric ton of marijuana and Sabbath worship.

Sun Baked Snow Cave is one of my favorites.

Its an akoustic/drone/noise album they did togehter with Merzbow.

Feedbacker is also really good.

But you should check out all of their albums. Every one of them is different, yet they're all either heavy, droney, noisy, psychedelic or with a shitload of feedback. But they're all awesome.

They're massively diverse. They get into some more straight forward stoner rock stuff with Heavy Rocks and Akuma No Uta, which are fantastic. Amplifier Worship is a sludgey droney masterpiece. Pink is great for a rounded kind of sound.

I think my favorite early document is a live three disc thing called Archive. It's infuckingcredible.

My true recommendation is to just go for every album from the beginning. Their evolution is really interesting and unique. All of them are very good.

Boris is an amazing band. I only have their live album with Merzbow "Rock Dream" though. I want to get Akuma no Uta. Who knew that the sound of speakers blowing up would be so good?

Their collaboration with SunnO))) on Altar is also very good, for fans of either band.

Thanks for reminding me about that. I want to listen to it so bad but my laptop battery is dead and the adapter died two days ago!

I'll feel better once I hear Boris using some DWARFCRAFT DEVICES on their new album.

Boris is my favorite band!!!!!!
Absolutego is a great album, so is Flood, if you like those and haven't yet get Feedbacker.

Personally I thought Altar was so so for both boris and sunn, out of all the boris stuff I have it is my least favorite. Actually I kind'a feel that way about most of the stuff they do with other artists, it just always feels to me that there is a little too much compromise, which is understandable but....
