Hey Let's Go to the Library

Post by Invisible Man »

So I'm moving pretty soon, and I'm headed back to the weirdo capital of Michigan (Ann Arbor).

Since I last lived there, their library went fucking nuts. Look at this shit...

I almost can't believe the synth collection. Pedals leave something to be desired, but that's more about my/our very specific tastes.

What the shit you can borrow MOOG SYNTHS from the library? We have a brand new library that hasn't even got any cool graphic novels/tpb comics.

hahaha yep. OP-1? Go to the library.

You can only get them for a week at a time, and you can't request anything ahead of time...but so what. Would be kind of fun to have some sort of limitation.

(But now that I'm thinking about it I'm paying like $6k/year in taxes, so...)

That's awesome!

There's a library somewhere in Kansas that has a fully custom modular system for use.

What, there are no Moog synths in Weegie libraries? WTF is socialism for, then? ;)

Only Polivoks, comrade.

Really though, I'm not sure if we do. I live on the outskirt of Oslo, so I haven't been to any of the big libraries downtown.

Ann Arbor is a step up from flint but I've never been crazy about it.

Good luck over there. Holler if you make it to my neck of the woods anytime soon.

I'm from Toledo so I always loved Ann Arbor. Couldn't see Helium or Bad Religion in the glass city. Lived in Ypsi for a while. That is just too cool.

That's the coolest thing ever! I need to check out my local library now, but I doubt they'll have anything like this

Holy fuck that's rad. Seems like Austin would be hippy dippy enough to have this kind of thing, but I imagine the rest of Texas would find a way to harsh that barge real quick. Must investigate.

In the meantime I will just be jealous.
