soooooo..... trying to setup an aux loop on my mixer so i can run different channels through a run of effects, mangle different synths or drum machines or whatever.
i setup the chain for the aux loop as into the first pedal, through a bunch more, then into the mic input on the KP3 (there's a 1/4 or XLR option, went into the 1/4), i get this nasty high pitched whine when i listen to the aux return channel. it's kinda quiet, but noticeable. i tried different settings of gain on the mixer channels and aux send and aux return and mic input trim. NO DIFFERENCE.
if i run a synth into the stereo ins of the KP3, pristine, quiet except for intended noise goodness.
if i use a y cable to go from the pedal chain into the KP3 stereo ins, will that fix PROBLEMS?

Sounds like you're having line noise or ground issues somewhere.

hurm. i am a bit of a git about mixers, so mebbe this is dumb/wrong.
but isolating synth - > KP3 being fine (into a stereo channel on the mixer), no KP3 just pedals as an aux send worked fine..... that seems like it would be the step between the pedals and the KP3 as an aux loop being the problem?

like, use this?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0172D946I
so send aux send into first pedal, last pedal goes into that Y cable, KP3 outs go to a channel in the mixer?

maybe i'm reading it wrong, but u are plugging into the 1/4" mic input on the front?
would def try the RCAs on the back. u could even just do one mono in & out to test it before u go buying special adapters
sometimes the mic inputs are setup differently. lots of gain or different impedance or something. might be why u are hearing noise.

i used to have a KP Quad in my mixer fx loop.
theres even a send-return option that kills the dry signal on the KP itself that is specifically for fx loops if i'm not mistaken, so it should definitely work.

yeah, was trying the 1/4 inch mic input. looked online, couldna dind anything that said left or right on the rca's sent mono.
durp. never tried just one side. just the mic input, then both rca's out without the other peds.
WILL TRY.
