GET TO KNOW: Bands I Like!

Post by smile_man »

Hey, so I've decided to start making little sampler things for bands I like to show people, with some info on the band and songs I like. I've started with Abe Vigoda, I hope this works out. They will all be posted to my blog: http://www.cutethingsbeingputtosleep.blogspot.com

Abe Vigoda is a tropical punk rock band based in Los Angeles, California, but are originally from Chino, California; a city in the Inland Empire. They frequently perform at The Smell. (Wikipedia)

They use that really metallic delay sound, think HEALTH. I suppose they call it "Tropical Punk" because the guitars sounds similar to steel drums.

Bear Face
Cranes
Dead City/Waste Wilderness
House
Hyacinth Grrls
Skeleton
The Reaper

So, good idea? Anything I should add? There's more entries on my blog now, with White Rainbow, and Atlas Sound.
