Android music apps like Auxy? Timing Trainer?

Post by ProCarsteNation »

Darlings, is anyone here versed in the Googleplay ecosphere?

I joined a hobby samba troupe and it is astounding how clueless of, sometimes even averse to learning about basic rhythm blocks some of them are.
I need a fun, quick, free ways to let them punch in sixteenth/triplet-grid based patterns,
in the hope of motivating them to dig into this stuff playfully and enjoyably.

Auxy:

In Addition, a good free metronome app would be splendid.
If it offers features that go deeper that's a bonus

Timing Trainer:

HELP ME HELP THEM!!!

Android doesn't have many good music apps because the architecture of it disallows for quick response, especially with audio. :(

other contestant: I can shoegaze that tune with 4 pedals.

other contestant: OK, shoegaze that tune!

Dang, is that why? I thought Apple just had a headstart so most creative developers didn't even bother with Android. Didn't know it was a hardware thing.

I did a quick search and these look interesting for some step sequencers: http://play.google.com/store/apps/detai ... dulab_free

http://play.google.com/store/apps/detai ... .sequencer

If you just want some loops for people to play along with:
http://play.google.com/store/apps/detai ... ment.loopz

This looks good for teaching rhythms and notation:

Yeah, no one in the music app software biz did anything good for Android.
