That is so insanely lame.

Sorry if that sounded dickish--I just don't get this band-in-a-box thing they keep trying to do. I feel like all the fun is in figuring out how someone gets a sound, not having it conveniently canned in one device

Just to agree with Pop, seems like this would be of really limited use. Sounds nice though.

Or, you know, find your own shit to sound like.

meh, but I am curious to see the enclosure and it's size.

I have no personal interest in buying a Jaguar and doing my best Kevin Shields impersonation. I manipulate loops and use desktop synths, and I think there will be interesting textures inside for what I do, which is not shoegaze.
---Also, no need to apologize to me for being dickish. I didn't build it, I just shared it. I fully expected the backlash on this (you guys are fairly predictable like that). If a day ever comes, when this board stops being so predictable with its opinions and its allegiances, then I'll probably have to seriously question if I've crossed into an alternate dimension. Carry on, everyone.

But if you take a band-in-a-box pedal and then add other supplements to it, won't you be in different territory? If you buy one of these tribute boxes (blue) and then add red or green or yellow to it, then you're not going to have blue anymore.
Just like the Monterey and that Gilmour-style pedal, I would never buy them to mimic those players, but I think I could get some interesting complimentary sounds out of them by combining them with stuff I already have.

I'm still waiting for a version of Caverns with reverse reverb like he originally planned, perhaps call it Abyss.

But how long until it shows up on Kevin Shields' board

?
Also, $299

Not gonna lie, I'd give it a shot, though $299 is a little steep for me. And as always, I'd be playing it on bass, so perhaps that would put it outside the original intent? But reverse + fuzz is totally something I'm into, no matter who it's meant to emulate.

Upon seeing the layout, multiple footswitches, and effects loop, I can see this being really useful. Like this, an overdrive and another delay could probably be my pedalboard for most stuff. I'm not going to pick one up because I have stuff I dig, but if I were new to pedals or less currently happy with my gear then this would be more tempting. 299 isn't terrible if you figure a full fuzz and a full reverb are tucked in there.

Yeah I figured I wouldn't hurt your feelings or anything, didn't think you were posting it out of extreme excitement. Just caught myself being the guy who posts his unconstructive, THAT SUCKS gut reaction and regretted it
