Hey guys! I'm on a the hunt for a the various versions of the Second Voice, including the Harmony Synth. I currently have the newest version and the v.2. I really want them all to see which is the best. I've owned them all but the Harmony, but can't remember!
It got me thinking though. What else is out there like this? I know it's PLL based (at least I'm pretty sure). It doesn't have a nasty bleed, which is great. The price points were always good, and the pedals are compact.
Any thoughts?
I know there are hundreds of suggestions throughout the site, but I just wanted to make a thread to simplify.

Don't remember if I tried the pulsemonger or the fuzzmonger (whichever one has a volume swell thing) but it totally sucked ALL low end. Come to think of it, I believe it was the fuzzmonger. So never mind I guess

We should have a game show à la Name That Tune
Inconuucl: I can shoegaze that tune with 5 pedals.
other contestant: I can shoegaze that tune with 4 pedals.
Inconuucl: I can shoegaze that tune with 3 pedals.
other contestant: OK, shoegaze that tune!

I'm ok with lacking low end because I can't expect much from these type of circuits in that regard. I tried the Sunsine and it's a terrible pedal. It's great idea but has a horrible carrier bleed, which I will not deal with.
The Shumann...hahaha. I wish. LOL
Tried your Dimehead and that thing was crazy. I'd kick myself too.
I'm on the hunt though! I also dig PWM circuits which seem to have some of the same tonal ranges.

It really depends on what you want man.
If it's about the fattest octave down than I would indeed say the Pollyanna or Mantis.
The Second Voice V1 is the heaviest sounding, the V2 is pretty alright but it doesn't hold a boner to either the Pollyanna or the Mantis.
Forget about the newer versions, if you want heavyness, it ain't there.
Those Monger things are crap, I played 2 of them, both were noisy crap and not in the good way.
Then again, you're playing (active) bass so I'm not sure what works with that.
good deals with: the_brow, phantasmagorovich, alexsga, DarkAxel, goroth, The Wood Wizard, Tendollarcat, vbps, monkeydancer, intothegroove, Brobee
See that's the catch! LOL!! Active bass (my MTD in particular) works ok with everything but it can destroy weaker fuzz. Like blow away the bottom in them. It's an 18v pre, so a lot of power, but not as powerful as a Bongo surprisingly (which NEVER worked with SHIT, GOd I miss that toilet seat).
But now that I use the B7K Ultra as an EQ at the end of my chain, I can bring up almost any lows lost. So no biggie.
I'll check out the Pollyanna. Never heard of that one.
For some reason I recall not liking the Bit Commander when Mr. Ben Humpy Hump let me borrow it, but maybe I didn't give it enough time?
Thanks for the suggestions guys!!!
