I have a SS/BS F*** and a Rat Tail - how do I stack them?

So I have a Smallsound Bigsound Fuck OD and a Rat Tail, and they are two great flavors I love desperately, though I've not yet figured out how to perfectly combine them for perfect awesome-ness. Anyone have any suggestions on how they stack these two bad boys?

How bright/dark and gainy do you usually like to set each of them? What kind of sound are you hoping to get when you stack them?

I usually have the gain on each of them around 11:00 - I think I want a distortion that's way hairy around the edges. I tend towards grungy, thick sounds but am trying to keep some clarity. I like the idea of the two pedals for a low and high gain option.

I generally find going into the Fuck will make other dirt thicker. I would try bumping the gain on the Fuck up a bit more and running the Rat Tail (with a slightly brighter EQ setting) into it . Or if you find the Rat Tail thick enough on it's own, you could goose it with the Fuck before the Rat Tail to push it over the edge a bit more.

If you're running the fuck before the Rat Tail you could probably make sweet use of the "Hi" setting on the crackle too for an even more blown out sound. Not that you couldn't do it after the Rat Tail, but the "Hi" crackle can be cool overloading the input of other shit.
