Hey, so I've wired a couple guitars from diagrams, but I'm not clued up at all on the actual science side of things.
I just have a quick question. I picked up a pair of seymour duncan jazzmaster pickups on the cheap, but on one of them the ground wire came disconnected from the actual pickup. If I just resolder this to the joint it came off of, will it have affected the sound of the pickup at all?
Basically i guess Im asking if the quality of the connection of the ground wire will affect the signal. I'd have guessed no, as I assume the ground doesn't carry any signal, but again, I'm not really clued up on this side of things.
Thanks!

That happened to me, didn't seem to be a problem when I reattached it!

Re: Amateur hour quick pickup question
It will be fine as long as it's a good connection.
