Amber Toggle Tip Size, Jazzmaster

Post by Pop »

Hey friends.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... p&_sacat=0

I wanna get an amber toggle tip for my Jazzmaster... one that looks like one of those yellowed ones on vintage JMs.

Anyone know what "size" I should get? Like the threads or whatever, or if a basic Gibson one would fit my Jazzmaster? It's a 2008 AVRI.

Thanks!

An AVRI should be standard rather than metric. The ones listed as USA or Gibson would be standard. You could go here and get one of each if you want to be sure: http://www.stewmac.com/Hardware_and_Par ... _Knob.html. The 8-32 is probably it, the M4x.7 would only be an extra $1.31 if you want insurance.

I can't remember what a JM uses but there are two standard sizes of pickup toggle switch one is a like 2mm and the other is a bit smaller :idk:

Yeah I guess it's not too much of a risk to buy two of them, hmm?

I have a Les Paul and this JM so maybe I can just try to switch them and see what happens.

Thanks!
