New Glassjaw song!
I grew up on this band and still love them to death. Finally releasing a full length (first one in 13 years)
Gonna have to give this a few listens though... very different sound but still familiar. Different even from the two EP's they put out a couple years ago.

I love Glassjaw, you can call me a fanboy, because the shoe fits, and I will wear it.
Palumbo's Chrons-disease-addled whine, their use of a wah pedal in post-hardcore music, their Helvetica aesthetic, their bizarre hip-hop merch, all of it.
Glad that this one's a heavy one!
Hopeful that they'll drop a proper album next year...
...what is it with major-label Long Island bands taking so long to drop albums?!

Re: New Glassjaw song!
As someone who is just listening to Glassjaw for the first time, I'm liking this heavy track way more than anything off the first two albums.
Teach me the ways of Glassjaw, y'all.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease earlier this year. No less than three people were like 'hey well that sucks but the singer of Glassjaw has it too'. OH MAN I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER NOW.
Always get them confused with Thrice. Then I just realise why bother listening to any of this music when I have perfectly good Frodus records.

Don't listen to that guy! He doesn't know LOL
There's a very vocal group who likes the new stuff better, Coloring Book, Color Green, and El Mark.
For me it's all about Worship & Tribute. One of my favorite albums. Everything sounds unique. You hear a Glassjaw song and you're like, "Oh, that's gotta be Glassjaw." They have a very defined and recognizable sound that would be pretty impossible to emulate.
I always think the best [whatever]core vocalists are like the auditory equivalent of having "elegantly dishevelled" hair. They sound like they've lost control of their voice and they're cracking and whining and straining, but it's actually a very calculated effort to sound like that. Daryl Palumbo epitomizes that I think.

Re: New Glassjaw song!
I am definitely preferring the EPs to the albums, but his singing voice just doesn't do it for me.
I like the music and I like his scream, which is why the new track is the strongest, for me.
