DUNLOP Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face (Video Demo)

Post by JacksGearDemos »

Hey guys, just joined the forum and I currently only have 1 fuzz pedal. I got this silicone transistor Dunlop Fuzz Face a few years back and it's always given me the most epic feedback swells. It's design is based off the Arbiter Fuzz Jimi Hendrix famously used back in the late 60s. Very simple with only 2 knobs, but man does it ever purr. Made a video demo here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YVA__E3LvY

let me know what you guys think about the video and the pedal!

Well, it's a pedal…

and it's a fuzz pedal…

Demo sounded pretty good & I dig that 335 copy. :idk:

Thanks dude. It's a 1984 Yamaha SA800. Got it off Kijiji for $400 canadian, I love the thing!

Thanks man. My set-up is real simple-

I either use a VOX AC30 or VOX Night Train 15W
Then I put the microphone (Shure SM57) facing dead-center, about 1mm away.
The mic runs into a shitty $99 USB interface called the "Steinberg CI1" which goes into a program called Sequel LE2. Then I leave the audio center, no effects.

I've done a lot of ghetto 1-mic recording in the past and I used to really struggle to get the sound I want. Kinda silly in retrospect how easy it was now that I demo pedals haha

Is the strat really orange? Or red skewed by the video? Cause now I want an orange strat.

Good demo. I had a Hendrix Mini FF that I just sold off. One of those occasions where I wish I didn't have to sell a piece of gear to afford another one. I was sad to see it go.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.
