Re: Bias Pedal
Looks like it. Nothing too novel other than the style they seem to be taking for customization. The tone match is a neat little trick but not everyone is really setup to really use it. And they seem to be taking the UAD approach of modeling individual components rather than an IR like waves and similar companies use. I like that approach better, but it eats up processing power like crazy.

Re: Bias Pedal
It's not to bad, I edited a few pedal and imported them into bias Fx.
I got some seriously raunchy bass tones and my iPad Air didn't skip a beat.

Re: Bias Pedal
I'd be more into it if you could play through a pedal or an amp into it and it would analyze the "tone" and reproduce it. Essentially a reverse of the TC tone print. This way you can just plug into you interface or w/e pull up BIAS turn on your molecular junction or your Science head preset (we are talking about technology here, nothing really pushes the technological or feature set envelope like the Dr. Scientist or Science Amps does) and just record that way. Otherwise it's really just an over glorified version of the iRig software which basically means this has literally been done before just cheaper just less feature laden.

Re: Bias Pedal
That's essentially what they are selling. Just geared towards distortion pedals. There are also general IR programs out there that are more in depth, and not as focused on one application, that will do the same thing as this (minus the iPad app).waltdogg wrote:I'd be more into it if you could play through a pedal or an amp into it and it would analyze the "tone" and reproduce it. A tone print or an over glorified iRig?
If it does a reverse tone print, worth it. But yeah the processing power it probably eats up like you mentioned earlier would be a real kicker.

Reverse tone print. it is far from the only product that does this though.waltdogg wrote:A tone print or an over glorified iRig?

Okay. Makes more sense now. Too bad it's not clear in the video or the literature on the website. At least to me.

Re: Bias Pedal
Well for anyone running a guitar and/or bass through an iPad, bias, bias fx and pedal are worth it.
The best $60 I have spent on fuzz, distortion, and amps.
The only time I have had issues with the prosessor has been when I start using multiple compressors and reverbs.
