My neighbor's an asshole. What should I do to him?

I went out to check the mail, and my neighbor was walking his dog. The dog barked at me, but it's a little dog, so... whatever.

But then he said, to the dog, "Hush. You'll upset the gay boy." THEN looked at me and says "Hi. How ya doin'?" AS IF I COULDN'T HEAR HIM.

This isn't the first time he was being a homophobe.... my neighbors (different ones, obviously) are gay, and at one point he built a large, ugly fence (which is still there) an posted pretty homophobic signs on it.

I think it's his turn... but I can't think of what to do. I don't want anyone to get arrested of this or anything (ok, so there's that chance no matter what I do). I just feel the need to do SOMETHING...

Last night a comedian, who's name I don't remember, said that when somebody cuts him off in traffic, he doesn't get mad, he follows them home and when they go inside he puts a bumper sticker on their car.

I'm going to go out on a limb here... He might not realize he's being an asshole.

Sometimes old people are just becase of things that may have been acceptable in the world where they grew up.

I would recommend you don't do anything that would give him a legitamate reason to hate you (e.g., vandalism), but rather find some way to use his own narrow-mindedness against him.

Play some gnarly harsh noise in the middle of the night in short bursts. Keep a lookout for police. When they are eventually called play the I have no idea what your talking about card. I used to do this to my party hardy neighbors at my old townhouse. Good times.
