Concentric Guitar Pots - How to configure?

Post by Faldoe »

Ordered two concentric pots and knob sets for my LTD baritone. Stock the guitar only has one volume and one tone and I'm used to/a fan of the LP style controls.

I'm debating whether to have one set just be Volume controls - closer to the strings, for volume swells/easy adjustment, and the set near the output jack be for tone.

What are you thoughts/suggestions?

I added concentric pots to my dirge telemaster. Really great upgrade from 1 volume - 1 tone. I would recommend assigning each pot to a pickup. The main reason being that the bottom layer tends to be easier to manipulate for volume swells. The top layer I cant really do a scoop motion quickly without nudging the bottom one a bit.
