Suggestions for this board build

Post by Ruiner »

Making a new board... so far i'm going with:

Source Audio Reflex (to control multiple expression)
Smallsound/Bigsound Buzzz (fuzz)
Electron Fuzz
ARC Soothsayer
Moog MIDI Murf
Moog Cluster Flux
Moog 104m
Meet Maude or EAR AD4096 for the second delay
Industrialectric RM-1N
Red Panda Context or Supermoon for alternate reverb

Might add Dwarfcraft ARF or MWFX Judder

Any suggestions for other pedals that would pair well with this board?

What effects are you looking for that you do not currently have?

Not really any effects in particular... looking more for good combinations. For example, using the Cluster Flux on square wave to provide a rhythmic effect while running the Midi Murf through it's send/returns while running an Electron Fuzz into it is a great combination and creates really unique tones. Another example is the Judder with the Dwarfcraft ARF combo provides interesting results.

Basically just curious if anyone either has some of these pedals that pair really well with another one or think one might. Like if i were to recommend to myself i'd say try a Dr Scientist Bitquest into the send/return on the 104m. :joy:

BitQuest is one i've had on my mind... might need to give that a go.

Particle is one i hadn't thought about for quite some time. That could get some interesting results on this board.

Thanks for the suggestions!

But seriously "what would go well' usually depends on what sorts of 'interesting' things you're looking to do that the board isn't already doing, so having a list and a fairly nebulous definition doesn't dissuade me from wanting to suggest a whole bunch of Death Metal.

I hear you but like i said, this board isn't built yet. I'm bored at work and curious to see if anyone has similar set ups and if they found any interesting pairings or just other opinions on what might fit well on a board like this or possibly discovering a pedal i hadn't heard about, etc etc. At the end of the day, i'll put what I think is best on it but i love hearing people's thoughts on this sort of thing so figured it wouldn't hurt to bring it up. :poke:
