Beat 25th anniversary strat project

Post by terminalvertigo »

Started the day not expecting to be building a new project, but here we are... :joy: lol

Ebay "saved searches" are Great!/Bad!

I've watched these 25th anniv. strats for a while, and usually they do nothing for me because a) they are not beat enough.. and 2) because they are usually whole guitars, whereas I am only interested in a legit aged vintage silver body. I'm not going to rip a nice beat one apart, too much work, and I'm not tuna :(

But his came up today:

Also, at less than $400 Cdn shipped and recieved, how could I say no?

Last I checked, that's the cost of a aged refin to look like this, and this one is genuine wear! :thumb:

It includes the pickguard, but i'm not sold on the black.

I'm thinking an aged mint guard, nice beat maple neck, some good pickups, Aged Klusons, and a nice trem system makes this quite the affordable project strat!

That body looks cool. Mint would probably look pretty funky. Im usually not a big fan, but I think a subtle/darker tortoiseshell guard could look dope.
