Digitech Death Metal
I have a couple bucks in my Paypal and I've always wanted one of these since the DOD iteration. I'm interested in the speaker sim output, do you use that? Should I get one for a one-off recording for a friend about an arch-lich's plot of vengeance?

They are good. Speaker sim is ok. Good enough to run direct through a pa. never recorded with it.

My son loves the DOD version of this pedal, although you do have to roll off the highs or suffer permanent tinnitus after playing it! I got it ridiculously cheap second hand and for the pittance I paid it's definitely been worth the amount of fun it's produced
Stick an octave pedal before it for extra deep menace (and a small amount of noisy fuzz afterwards sounds pretty devastating as well).
