Is it just me or is Alabama Shakes really fucking strange?
Maybe it's that I have no background in soul or funk? I guess sometimes it's just straight rocknroll but sometimes it's just something else.
I just watched a bunch of videos and, looking in her eyes, it seems like she's got a bit of Tom Waits hiding in her soul.
I guess I'm glad something so weird can be so popular.

I just thought they were a really good R&B band! Brittany is incredible. To me, one of the best singer-songwriters out there, and I agree, I'm glad that they've taken off. A few years ago they were practically underground.
