So I played one of these many years ago, when I was still relatively new to the guitar. It impressed me even then with my undiscerning ears, enough so that I wanted to track one down after I sold my gigantic Dual Showman 2x12. I remembered right - it's an amazing amp. So many great tones that might even sway the Mesa haters.
Ees so preeety
And it's so versatile too. Fabulous cleans, great Marshall-esque dirt, and the liquid gain mode is very Mesa sounding. Mas bueno
I've never really understood the aversion to Mesa. I feel like a lot of people still have them pegged as a shitty nu metal amp, but I had a Single Rectifier for years, played nothing but clean post-rock-ish stuff, and was never let down by the sounds I got.
I love Mesa's. Basically all of them. I have an F-100 head, and it's such an under appreciated amp. The clean channel does 95% of what my Fender Twin does. I might even pick up a reasonably priced dual rectifier this week. I'm convinced that most people who use them have no idea how to dial them in.
