Pushpull for tele bridge pickup question
Hey so i love the sound of my single coil in the bridge in the humbucker but sometimes i just want more heavy for sludgy stuff so i was thinking of putting in a split coil in there. I was wondering if anyone had experiencewith this and if it changed the whole coolness of the regular single coil that the tele has. Is there a humbucker out there that can give that original tele sound when set to singlecoil.

Re: Pushpull for tele bridge pickup question
my experience is only with the Dimarzio Chopper T in the bridge position (in a hwy1/mim frankencaster, and now my RK Tele)
it doesnt sound exactly the same splitting to just one coil. but still cool.
another thing you can investigate is wiring a toggle to go between the coils in series or parallel.

Re: Pushpull for tele bridge pickup question
I have an Esquire with a Dimarzio Fast Track T, with a 3 way toggle for Series, Parallel, Split... I think Parallel sounds very tele like and Series more humbuckery (not super high output), split is kinda thin but usefull. I've very happy with this setup, I'd recommend it.
