So does this mean that after 50+ years there will be a end one way or the other to this crap with Korea. If this isn't a bluff and lots of people die I will be saddened to the extreme, if this leads to talks of some kind I will be........... wait this has been tried before never mind :picard:
If I get blown up if they miss Portland and it flies northward up to Oly and hits me I won't care, I don't fear death and if dead there will be other things to consider if anything. But I do fear stupidity :omg:

Ancient Chines curse: "May you live in interesting times" :stitch:

We all have things we still want to accomplish and live to the fullest but if are going to die you are going to die it can't be helped, whether or not there is afterlife or not or reincarnation [which "I" believe because it just makes sense to my mind] or not will come or not, you will disappear completely or not, it can't be helped. Life ends and begins over and over and over from and to time out of mind. So you might as well try do do what you want in the time you have because it will or will not be the only time to do it in :)

One thing you are forgetting is the fact that if there were a nuclear attack of any kind on this continent.....atleast in this country...it would be catastrophic for everyone, not just Portland. Hell, if it where a big enough attack, North Korea might even get some fallout from it. And of course our retaliation would only add fuel to the fire. They are so destructive that there is no point in even having them. The term Mutually Assured Destruction comes to mind. China would be a big problem as well, since they seem to favor NK to the point of being a military ally, but it all boils down to the same thing, just one decent sized attack would destroy things to the point that even countries on the other side of the world would suffer greatly from the environmental impact. If I were gonna worry about anything, I would worry about how all these lies we are being told(even about korea) are gonna play in to what our own country plans to do with us.

The important thing to remember is that almost every generation thought it would be the last....kind of goes back to this fruedian principle that we are just soooo damn important to ourselves. We are like children who don't want to go to their first day of school.....we don't think about how every other kid had to do it. Everyone who has ever lived has had to die (to my knowledge).....but for some reason we naturally think of our own demise with such grandiosity..me me self self I I. Everything is temporary....you think nukes are bad? Think about what our own Sun will do to us eventually. We will all disintegrate and there will be no proof that we ever existed....but thats what gets our goat!!!!isn't it? To die as a person is one thing, but to leave no trace is unacceptable!! Case and point, I haven't always existed, and I have a feeling that wherever I go when I end is gonna be where I came from anyway(even molecularly speaking) ...even when the sun eats our solar system, it too will die, and become something else, something that helps create something else, and then whatever it creates will create, then it will die, and create something else...ad nauseam.

I would hate to imagine a nuclear attack on my own country....But it would be like if I killed Kimbo Slice's girlfriend in front of him, you'd better believe that I'd be signing my own death warrant.

All the more reason to listen. Non-bias opinion.

If the "officials and leaders" would realize they are bullying a country, in turn, instigating ourself to be a target. Who are they to not allow a country to pursue their natural right to evolve and grow. It's only out of fear that they are sticking their neck in. It's encouraging to north Korea when they are constantly being shown how much we fear them. Anything that happens is the fault of our "leaders" double-standards and the errosion of standard society values.

Don't fear death because it is the balance to life. It's natural to fear what you don't understand but is not a good reason.

In the case of North Korea, we have a leader who believes he is direct decedent of god.
There for a god himself and thus infallible.
In his infallibility he has isolated his entire country and enslaved the populous.

Now the populous is only allowed official radio, TV, news etc with no dissenting views.

These threats may have something to do with his failing health.
Taking this stance in order to prevent the hard line generals from deposing him and to ensure that his son will become leader after him.

In Spain there is ETA (indepentist vasque terrorism) and we had our own 11-S the 11th of march. So i think there is more terrorism inside our country than inside yours :erm: ?? The point is that i don't really think there will such an open attack from a country, i can expect it from muslim terrorism, but not from a country. You can't nuke terrorists, but you can nuke a country. It's pax romana.

If it makes you feel any better I really believe that if terrorist strike the us Texas would be higher on the list then Portland, after all the man who started the current "crusade" in the middle east lives there and they have maps and stuff. I keep threatening to wright a song call "well there is a mushroom cloud over texas" if only I didn't hate country but alas I do............................

I'm gonna be the tinfoil hat guy and bring up the Reichstag fire, Nero and the great fire in Rome, the Manchurian incident, the fake invasion at Gleiwitz, and Operation Northwoods.

IMHO, if anyone's gonna nuke us, our government might not pull the trigger but I bet they'll turn a blind eye while someone else does. There's much to gain from a scared, battered, threatened populace.

With all of the information that they withhold from us about things like this you can never be to sure about anything (e.g. Cold War
= Almost Doomsday)but i do believe North Korea is just flexing. A nuclear strike on America would be the worst idea ever for them. Not only would they have to worry about America, they would have to worry about Japan and Russia who have been aching for a reason to school N.K.

I wouldn't be scared of a nuke dropping down on peaceful lil' Portland. Kim is stupid but he isn't that stupid.
I hope this eases up your head a bit Devi!

Devi that video rules. I really want a tattoo that illustrates the impression it leaves. I constantly need a reminder of it.
