fantastic planet didn't come out on vinyl with its original release, only the recent pressing.HAVN wrote:I was excited to buy Fantastic Planet on wax, but still unclear on if this is new old stock or a repress. I'll have to listen to the new songs again.
magnified is awesome, especially since they created it just greg and ken before kelli joined. bernie... god one of my favorite songs. small crimes, oof. killer.Faldoe wrote:All their stuff is good. Magnified is also really good and has some amazing songs on there.
Comfort and the Golden CD is good too.
I saw them awhile back in SF and it was a good show. Good tones. They're back to a 3 piece - Troy Van Lewen played with them on the Fantastic Planet tour. It would have been cool to have him playing with them again, but their show as a 3 piece in no way lacked.
Yeah, Small Crimes is amazing in terms of composition and sound. They really had something going.space6oy wrote:fantastic planet didn't come out on vinyl with its original release, only the recent pressing.HAVN wrote:I was excited to buy Fantastic Planet on wax, but still unclear on if this is new old stock or a repress. i drove from cbus to detroit to see them on their reunion tour. was so happy with their bringing it all back to life. fucking cheesy, but at moments it seriously made me tear up in happiness.it would've been cool to have troy in on it too, but they pulled it off so well with the gear they have now, mean him zero offense but it wasn't as necessary to have a second guitarist as it was back then.

Sure, I just meant that I didn't understand if what they're selling was from that pressing, or a new one.space6oy wrote:fantastic planet didn't come out on vinyl with its original release, only the recent pressing.

Be happy it's coming back out.HAVN wrote:I was excited to buy Fantastic Planet on wax, but still unclear on if this is new old stock or a repress. I'll have to listen to the new songs again.
