Anyone here savy with EHX repairs?
So I have Mr. MSU's EHX Bass Microsynth, great pedal, but there is definitely something funky with the trigger slider. I fucked with the trimmer in the back and that fixed it for awhile, but all of a sudden it's messed up again.
So basically what it does is it will be wide open and not register notes. So I'll be hitting my strings (literally) to get anything to respond. My bass is a super active bass too, so it should not have any issues with getting the effect to respond. But it doesn't.
My best guess is that the slider for the trigger is going bad, but I've NEVER repaired an EHX pedal with sliders.
Anyone had any experience in this area?

Tried contact cleaner in the slider?? Sliders have a tendency to accumulate dirt and crud.

I would also suggest contact cleaner, failing that http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcomme ... cro-synth/
Only other probable culprits would be dried tantalum caps or bad trimmers... but it's most likely just a cruddy slider.

So got the slider in and it's the wrong kind. Sigh.
I guess I didn't realize the difference? The one I'm trying to repair is a Bass Microsynth, but it's not the old version. The slider it has looks like this http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcomme ... -e-h-pog2/
But I don't think that's the right one.

Contact EHX and ask them.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but my EHX HOG is having an issue with the Dry Output slider - It doesn't work.
Presets I have saved, that utilize the Dry Output still work, you can hear the DOutput, but if I try and make new patch, the Dry Output slider does nothing.
I tried contact clean and nothing happened, not even any scratchiness. Any thoughts?

Re: Anyone here savy with EHX repairs?
Sliders can break quite quickly as they're open to the elements at all times compared to a sealed pot.
Anyway, the dry mix in the HOG should be a B10k slider, so this should do (select the octave & filter version) http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcomme ... r-old-pog/ assuming the POG & HOG use the same sliders which I would think they do.
That or as I PM'd jwar you can attempt to fix the slider http://www.geofex.com/article_folders/p ... tscret.htm
