rad overdrive with a blend knob?

Post by Greenfuz »

something I can play my acoustic through so there's a bit of breakup in the background but you can still hear that nice acoustic sound

Doc Sci Elements on low gain setting rules that application. Amazing toan-shaping, and a blend control. And Canadian!
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

i know of nothing better than the elements for this. the clean blend was useless for me when i had mine, but that pedal does everything exceedingly well.

I usually prefer to go agianst the grain instead of feedign the hype...But I also came here to suggestr the Elemenents. The only reason I dind't keep mine, is that I needed like three preset switches for all those differents sounds...So I opted for seperate pedals for fuzz, light od, and heavy distortion.

But yeah, I'm sure it'll do great for a slightly dirty acoustic, as well as for bass or whatever else you trow at it.

I actually used the Elements for this recently for an "acoustic" gig. I wanted to go against the grain too, but the only other clean blend drive pedals I can think of are fuzz. You could get a used Boss Line Selector and make it do clean blend with one of your favorite drives?

Inclined to agree here. I use my frazz for this all the time.

Since I have no Dr. Scientist experience, you could go more mainstream/corporate and go to your local guitar warehouse and jet a Way Huge Pork Loin.

Note, I did not suggest it. I suggested that is something you could do

Doesn't the Sparkle Drive have clean blend as well?

It's a good pedal, I've used it on acoustic for a similar objective as the OP's.

Yes, Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive has a clean blend that works and sounds great. It's a TS-808 under the hood.
