Synth/Modular stuff at NAMM

I figured that it might make sense to post cool Synth/Modular stuff in a separate thread so that folks that aren't into that don't have to slosh through a ton of posts about this stuff. This year has the largest increase of manufacturers of synth/modular gear ever, mainly due to Eurorack I bet. I have a 4U Serge modular and there are so many cool modules in Euro that it is harder and harder to stay away from it. ANyways...

So far, The new Make Noise modules look/sound really cool. The Filter Filter Bank and RxMx were making me I also like the all black Shared System.

Buchla is releasing the H series (with several little systems) , Euro adapters, the touch keys from the Easel (218) and a cool polyphonic sequencer. http://buchla.com
I had kind of written off ever having any Buchla, the E series is crazy expensive. These H series really kind of open the door to Buchla, yes they are pretty expensive but they are doable if someone really wants to get some Buchla, which a lot of people do. I am looking forward to hearing these in action.

Korg Odyssey, so far all I have seen is kind of a lame introduction from Korg. I look forward to seeing a SonicState video about it.

The Tom Oberheim synth looks cool. A Duophonic SEM synth with sequencer, nice keys and patch bay on the back

Sounds so good…I heard that they are all sold. There may be a misunderstanding though and that means that some are spoken for by dealers. The video that Moog released had some great sounds but they almost were it seem like there hasn't been any modular synths since they quit making them. Whatever though, if I was RICH, I would have one.

I like Wavetables too. I had a Modcan one, it sounded amazing. I just wish there was a little more CV control over that Waldorf module. It seems like there are a lot of "super modules" lately that some other product, ported into eurorack and not really designed completely as a module. The Jomox T-resonator comes to mind too. I guess it is a sign of how popular euro is . I am sure that Waldorf sounds awesome though.
