Anyone got some doom records they liked that came out this year?

Grey Widow's I and Thou's Heathen were my faves.

Pallbearer, YOB, and Witch Mountain top my year-end list.

Thou and Indian also spring to mind.

I'm sure it probably doesn't count.
But the new Sleep track made me cream my jeans.

Still bummed Uta is leaving Witch Mountain. I know they were around before and will be after. But damn that was a sweet sound with her voice on top. Nice way to go out though.
Indian, just fucking brutalizes. I'm interested to see what happens now. more? less? different direction? I know it'll be evil despair filled awesomeness.
All the stuff mentioned so far is badass. Favorite? so hard to do. People blow my mind man. The amount of music that is being created at the mastery level these days is ridiculous.

I really like her voice. I appreciate a good female singer and they can bring teh metalz without having to be a Nightwish corset metal copy cat. Oh well.

I'm hoping that she'll come back to doing music in some capacity in a year or two. It'd really be a bummer if she gave up on it entirely.

I keep putting off listening to the new Indian, Guiltless was fucking great and it seems the new one is even better. I'll be picking it up today.

New Electric Wizard was exciting initially but not too strong of a release. They also blatantly reuse old riffs on Time To Die, felt more like a remix album than new material.

Yob has to be number one for me, Clearing is such an absolute force and enjoyable all the way through. Bongripper's Miserable was also excellent, they can riff like no other. It's not explicitly just doom but I think people here would dig Lord Mantis: https://profoundlorerecords.bandcamp.co ... death-mask

For those who like their doom with some death.... Coffinworm's IV.I.VIII was really really good.
