Like I needed another dirt box...

Post by echoraven »

Musicians Friend (odd name or what?) has the longest running black friday ever, but I ordered a Way Huge Fat Sandwich for $69 (free shipping included!) to add to my dirt box collection consisting of...

EHX NYC Big Muff Pi
EHX NYC Little Big Muff Pi
EHX NYC Big Muff Pi Nano
Akai Blues Professional
Pigtronix Disnortion
Pigtronix Aria
Pigtronix PolySaturator
Vox Saturator
EHX Metal Muff Nano
Boss DS2
Screeching Owl Effects: Hydra

I'm a sucker for a dirt box on sale! Like a woman with shoes... The Hydra is the only pedal I paid regular price for, because it's just one guy in his basement (or his mom's, I'm not sure...)

It will be my first Way Huge pedal and I'm excited!

Deal here: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifie ... t-sandwich

I'm not so much into big muffs anymore, but I used to have a Swollen Pickle MkII, which is one impressive fuzz pedlol impo.

Dunlop might not be the most secksy hip boutique company or whatever, but they sure as hell know how to build a legit pedal. Nice score, congratz.

yeah, based on the green rhino (and the reputation of the swollen pickle), i'm very interested in their other pedals. namely their puss line of delays..

goddamn, fuck those names.

I might be one of the only people who didn't like the Swollen Pickle. Some of their other stuff seems cool though.

Shoot, I missed 2 pedals. I also have a Devi Ever Hyperion and a MXR Full Bore Metal, neither which I'm crazy about.

Anyways one of my concerns with the Fat Sandwhich is that it has a couple of internal trim pots and I'm wondering once it's adjusted will it be cool with all my instruments or will I be thinking "perhaps I should tweak for each guitar..." and I've got 6 total and that's quite a bit of monkeying with internals.
