Tascam 414 MkII help
I recently got a 414 MkII. I would love it, if it weren't for one thing. I'm running drums from an MPC into the mic/line in on the front of machine. When I try to record a guitar track using the mic input on the back at the same time that I'm recording drums, the drums end up appearing on both tracks. Anyone have experience with this? It's driving me crazy.

Re: Tascam 414 MkII help
the manual says that if u plug something into the front, the mic input will be ignored.
u could always use the separate inputs on the front i think or the guitar input on the back and set your 2nd track to guitar

I haven't had one for a while, but I remember the inputs are grouped, and like the good doctor said, it prioritizes, so you might just have play with which inputs/tracks you use (ie do 1 & 3 instead of 1&2).

Using the guitar input but I don't like the sound as much as I like my amp mic'd. I'll try messing with the inputs. Thanks to both of you.
