And yeah, that's a $70 difference between what he's gonna charge later, usually the biggest discount you see on preorders is like $50. And even at $195 that looks like a good deal.

Ha. I was going to wait until I had a photo of, at the very least, a prototype pedal with labels on it before posting here. But people seem to like the drawing. Thanks for posting this, Goroth!

Yes, it's a pretty subtle filter sweep, which is how I like them. The idea is to work well at loud volumes while playing with a band, and I always find the more subtle effects that still let your original sound through a bit work best in that environment. The filter is the same one that's in my Green Zapper pedal, which is indeed a pretty simple band-pass filter that uses an opto-coupler to sweep through the frequencies (similar to the original DOD 440 envelope filter).

The price is designed to entice. That's pretty similar to what I'll be selling it to dealers for once it's ready to place in stores, so why not offer that same price direct to customers while it's a pre-order? Ants in my pants? Always when it comes to this stuff. I love this shit, and once I have an idea for a new pedal, I want to make it!! It needs to be funded, though. Summer NAMM was expensive...but well worth it.

The drawing is supercool man!
I'm usually not a guy for subtle sounds but going from the clips this one seems to have it's own thing going on, a warm kinda warbly phasey vibey filtery sound, I dig, I dig very mucho!
Not sure whether the design is completely finalised but it might be cool to add resonance controls and an expression input for the sweep maybe (this is ILF so there's always that ofcourse).
