Yes, it can!

I've had a few people mail theirs in to be modded.
Probably best in most cases to mail it in. It involves pulling a diode off the board, running two wires off the board into a toggle (and drilling for the toggle)...it's not extremely difficult if you're used to doing things like that, but a bit delicate.

I think I might be willing to try it myself. Being in Canada, the shipping costs both ways, mod cost, and the possibility of having to pay taxes again on something I already own at the border, is too great of a risk/expense for a mod. I've built my own Tweed Deluxe from a Trinity Amps kit and I've done a bunch of kit pedals, so I'm confident I could pull this one off.

Eh, I'm glad I rushed and got it, I'm sure somebody else would've snatched it if I waited. I love that choked-out fuzz though, could you do something similar on the Great Wall?

Yes, it can!

Would it make any sense to make the choke mode as another footswitch ? Almost asked you about it when i ordered mine but chose not to.

Not really...flipping the Choke toggle cuts output a little. So while you're down there flipping the toggle, you can also increase the Level a bit.
