Reverb to use with a lot of fuzz!!!???

Post by fungalattack »

Hey fellas, so I am looking for a new reverb pedal that I can step on that wont make my sound overly noisy or harsh. I don't want a bright sounding pedal. I want something that can get really wet like dripping 100% wet. I also want to use it with a ton of fuzz for single note haunting melodies. I love my ghost echo and Dr. Sci Reverb but want to explore new sounds and territories. I have been thinkin bout the spring chicken or the spring theory? maybe the neunaber wet one? mrblack supermoon seems cool but I definitely dont need modulation. I use the ghost echo for an always on lil fuzz flavor enhancer but I need another one to make my sound get weird and turn into a scary wet yet not overly noisy reverberated beast. The RRR just has too many features - i strictly use it for 100% wet sounds and I am looking for a substitute. All the help is vastly appreciated!!!
Fuzz, reverb, delay.

Hall of Fame Reverb. If you don't like whatever the presets are, you can make your own with it

^This. Hall of Fame is an awesome verb for the money. Tone print editor software for free download, plus a lot of "famous artist" tone prints available to download also for free. Though I prefer to edit my own. My only gripe is that there is only one tone print slot. That is an extremely small gripe though.

If you've got the cash the Red Panda Context takes it really well both in the front and back (twss). The algorithms are highly tweakable and sound great with every pedal I've paired it with.

edit: Supermoon might work really well as well.

I like the way the hall of fame sounds in that it maintains the integrity of the dry sound but that whole usb port scares the living shit out of me!!!

  at RRR has too many features. That's like bare-bones for ILF.

If you don't want bright, you don't want a spring reverb without a tone control.
HoF always gets love, but I'd say Cathedral. 100% wet. Tone control. And dat motherfuckin infinite switch.

Apparently you can beam the tone prints in with a smart phone. I haven't tried it because I don't have a smart phone and I'm not smart enough to operate a smart phone. Maybe they might make a smart arse phone one day I and I know I will be able to use that.

Yeah I should probably try that cathedral. I always thought the HoF sounded cool but I HATE the aesthetics of the TC electronics. So cold and fisher-price esque but that will not stop me from getting it if it fits my criteria. But really I just need a tone-preservering 100% option. Do you guys like the spring theory?

One before and one after is how I roll...

The HOF can be whatever you want it to be, don't let usb and technology scare you... It's really easy to use...

Acid Mothers Temple uses a couple RV-3s and 5s and you really cant go wrong with either...

yea the RRR is the best sounding to my ears as well.

HOF is really cool. the constant dry signal is nice, and making your own toneprints is actually really easy. i made a really weird super blown out ducking reverb the first day i got my HOF.
