so I have what I think is a good idea for a pedal...but I can't build them for shit. so I'm hoping someone can build it for me?
I have a few pedals with photo resistors in them (and a photo theremin) and I'd like to get a pedal made in a treadle with a gooseneck LED coming off the tip, where the brightness is controlled by the toe to heel range of the treadle AND it has tap tempo flashing capability (ie tap a tempo in and it flashes on and off, or have the ability to set the brightness range when it flashes, like full brightness to 10% or crank it down to 0% brightness).
even better would be to have some sort of programmable/stoppable sequence in it.
what would that run me? does it exist already?
I attached a terribly illustrated design. my budget isn't large for this but it seems interesting and useful to me.

But... what does it do?
Sorry, I'm an idiot.

Yes it's a good idea... Should be easy to do or just get an led strip and a controller...
I have a few of these that I use for that exact same purpose...

I'm sure it's not THAT difficult since it doesn't actually involve signal processing, but I don't know much about building pedals. just playing them.

Is it supposed to be like a tap tempo controller that is just be an expression pedal that blinks the rate?

You could prolly mod one of these...

A strip with multi colors is better though...

I can't really mod anything, I'm not so keen on electronics.
it's supposed to be a treadle, with tap tempo to control rate
the knobs above it control how bright the peak flash is and how dim (or completely off) that the trough is. almost like a sound wave that goes from to ceiling, where the floor is off and the top in full bright and on. the knobs just let you adjust the height of that wave.
the switch in the middle allows you to switch to a sequence mode like the Goatkeeper tremolo has - allowing you to have it flash in patterns.
knob above that sets whether the speed of the sequence cycling through is controlled by the treadle or by the tap tempo controlling the cycle speed.
could literally interchange this for a tremolo
MAYBE EVEN ADD A SWITCH TO MAKE IT SWITCH OVER TO AN OPTICAL TREMOLO.

the led strip suggestion is good but if you want exactly this i would build it for 150, less the treadle and instead an expression pedal input.
i was experiomenting with a similar idea before only with sequenced blinking and gain/pitch controlling photocells. prettyi nteresting.
