Likely buying a POG/POG mini tomorrow

Post by xrleroyx »

Need it basically to fill in on bass until we get a bass player nailed down. Would like to use it on guitar when we find a bassist. Which one have you found most useful?

Someone please send this to Billy every day until all his pent-up rage erupts, his head turns to actual chrome and he engages his final form: Ultimo-Corgon, where he finally starts to hate fuck every skyscraper in Japan demanding an explanation, weeping tears of mercury down on the innocent bystanders below while proclaiming to be the greatest musician of all time, including the future.

I use the Micro POG for this in one of my bands. You can run the dry out to your guitar amp and the effect out to a bass amp. Here is a good idea of what it sounds like. A little dark direct from the POG so I use a Darkglass B7K to fine tune a bit. A good bass compressor after the POG would be even better. You can easily spend $500+ getting your fake bass to sound good so start small and work from there.

Yeah Micro POG is a great pedal. I don't use mine for faux bass sounds but more like corn flour in gravy. Adding a little thickness to my fuzz sounds. Dry control on full and octave down control to taste. The octave up control I rarely use.
Micro POG rules. :thumb:
