Laney pro tube 30 mv series - naaaaaice?

Post by scabiosa »

Hi guys!

Anyone knows about the laney pro tube series? Should be something like the AOR series.
But not much info on the web... I read that they have a jcm800-like pre amp.

But anyway, sometimes my 100 watters are a little too much, and this one is not too expensive.

Anyone knows about them? :poke:

All three tone controls are pull pots?
6V6?
I had One in 1995. was very very good sounding in the area between clean and Drive (breakup). I used it with a vintage 4x12 orange cab. I sometimes think of the Old days with that stuff. Was great in my Memory. Sold everything. I was young and needed the Money.
For 2 6V6 Not a loud amp afai recall.

that is the one!

between clean and breakup... perfect! But loud enough for a band I guess?
I think I give it a try!

Yeah, should work in a band context - but not clean! If it is cheap, you can't go really wrong: great built quality and One great Sound.
This is the Version with reverb? I had the One without it. The reverb should be very nice (at least i remember that the Guy who bought my amp told me about the lovely reverb)..

I "would" all of the laneys if I could.....

Such great amps. Had a 30 combo, 50w head and 100w head.

hey rockers,

one of those again available in 2 hours driving from my place, still interested cause the laney KLipp 100 is a bit too loud (but so great sounding)

Who know if the 2 6v6's are enough to play with loud drummer? (and still hit it with muffs and envelope filters?)

That's the only concern...

We got one of these in at work recently and it kicks ass. I wouldn't pay more than like 250-300 for it, but they're really great sounding amps. The pull switch on the bass knob is instant doom tone.
