Vintage speakers reading high impedance

Sooooo moving into a place that has had this vintage Acoustic 6x10 cab sitting in the corner for over 6 years. I've asked about it before, being told "it's WAY blown, man." Had some spare time last night and opened it up - only two of the 6 speakers were connected. I measured each speaker and most all measured between 18 and 21ohms. That makes me think they're all 16ohm, but from my limited research and knowledge of "speakering" a good speaker should read lower than what it is supposed to be. I've seen some say "reading megaohms = totally blown" or, obviously, "0 ohms blown".

Should I be worried about it? Do the battery test? Any other suggestions on a way to test wether or not they're definitively blown or good?

they're probably OK. maybe on the old/crusty/about to blow side, but OK.

If they were really 'blown' (fried voice coil, separated cone etc) they would read very high/infinity impedance. Older speakers were always nominal estimates so those are probably 16 ohm, assuming you've disconnected all the speakers from each other.

they could be on the way out though..

to test: first disconnect all speakers from each other if ya haven't.

take the grill off if you can and carefully move each cone in and out with your hand, listening and feeling for a grinding noise. try to keep the cone moving straight in and out, not pushing unevenly. if they move free you're probably OK. Try the battery and again listen for a scraping/ grinding noise. If no noise, try each speaker with a small amp (like a 15 watt practice amp up half way or so), try bass heavy stuff like neck pickup/tone rolled off/low E. listen for bad distortion or the ol' grinding noise.

They were definitely all reading in the realm of what they should be, and yes all of them were disconnected. These old Acoustic's have the grill cloth glued directly to the baffle so I'll have to remove the speakers from the rear so I don't have to remove and re-glue the grill cloth. Thanks so much for the advice!! I'll see if I can get this sukka' up and running again.

do battery test, they are 16 ohm, if they are all good, hook them up and rock that shit.
