I love the feel of late 70's rice but the newer ones haven't done much for me. All that I have played sounded awesome but for the prices that they demand they need to feel Like an extension of myself.
The biggest gear mistake I ever made was taking a day to think about purchasing a 78 ric. It was gone the next day. So yeah for me it's the feel than the sound second.

I have a Kramer like that. It rules. Mine has the smooth bottom and P & J pups. It is awesome.

So yeah, Value wise, the Ric.

Ric! I've played John's Kramer, and while it's nice, it doesn't hold a candle to my Ric as far as comfortability.
