I've noticed that Jerry Bruckheimer has been using a lot of good current music and artists in all the shows he produces.

As much as I hate CSI it did play Sigur Ros. But sometimes I wish mainstream shit would just leave good underground stuff alone--it doesn't deserve it, but NIN is fair I guess.

Well if it's in context with what is happening visually I say go for it.
I give 'Cold Case' kudos for having the correct music playing in context to the year of the case they are working on.
And they generally use it right, no Nirvana at a frat party.
