Please Help!!! DOD Content
Hey folks, just got a Performer Series DOD Delay 585 from a local shop thinking I could use it, only to find that I don't have a way to power the thing! Just wondering if anyone has a power supply I can buy or a way to mod it for a more easily accessible one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's a super weird power supply. If I remember right it required a 20v power supply with EXTREMELY low milliamps. I'd suggest finding an old one on ebay like this:

Or, you could find an adjustable power supply of kind and find a way to modify it so it would work. Batteries are an option too, but using two 9v is super wasteful and pricey. Finding an old adapter's probably your best bet. That's what I did when I had one.

I was hoping someone would have one a bit cheaper though because I only paid $30 for the pedal itself.

That's a STEAL for that pedal! If I got it that cheap it wouldn't bother me in the slightest to drop $40 on it. If you end up not liking it you could easily flip it for more than you paid for both. You could keep watching for people to list other adapters, though, because that does seem pretty pricey just for the adapter.

Supply mA rating isn't important.
Just use an 18V DC supply, that's all the schematic calls for and I can't see why it would hurt.
If the supply in that listing is the correct one, make sure it's a tip positive though.

Yep, that looks correct on the replacement, I had a Phasor from the same series with that.
Label that adaptor like it's on fire. Red tape, flags, something.
1/4" power and guitar....should be nowhere found, DOD was smoking something seriously wrong when they designed it.
I lived in fear of plugging it in wrong.
