Looking at this head:

Fantastic deal on this thing, especially with the case and different tubes. Anyone know if the "power transformer shift" that appears to have happened might be a big problem? I don't know much about those. Have a look and let me know what you think!
Very much appreciated.

it should be fine. I've had some slanted PT's before and the amp has worked fine

The two Traynor's I own have such huge heavy transformers they actually have slowly pulled down via gravity over the 40 years they've been alive (also mounted facing downward unlike the Terror) - I would think so long as the PT hasn't evacuated it's chassis in a cataclysmic shipping failure and pulled connections away you've got nothing to worry about especially if you can try it first.

Thanks friends.
Now if I can just get a hold of the guy. I watched a lot of demos and it seems to sound like a really sweet distortion straight from the box. I've read it doesn't take fuzzes and stuff too well... hmmmmmmmmm.

If it's anything like the OR15 then it def dislikes fuzz pedals. Too much preamp gain going on with little to no headroom.

My favorite amp/sound ever is my tweed Blues Deluxe that I've had forever, but it's conking out on me and is getting too heavy for me and my back problems.
I had an idea to have a custom "head" made that was everything from the Blues Deluxe except a few things; it would basically be:
The clean channel only with
1. Bass
2. Middle
3. Treble
4. Presence
5. Bright switch always on
No reverb tank or overdrive.
Then have a custom lightweight cabinet made. Maybe I'll start a new thread for that.
Thanks!
