Collage Guitar
I found an Ibanez Gio at a pawn shop for $60 yesterday and then spent the rest of the day gluing pictures onto it with mod podge. I still have a bit more space to cover on the front, and the back. The back is going to mostly be sections of maps. After all the space is covered, I'm thinking of giving it a few coats of lacquer. Would that be the best choice for a sealant? I'm also planning on buying some gfs pickups and redoing all the electronics.

Re: Collage Guitar
In my experience doing stuff like this, a spray clearcoat, or a sprayed polyurethane (if you want a bit of added color/distress to your pics) works really well. It gives a bit of a matte finish so your pics/sticks are nice and visible.
Granted, I've only done this to pickguards, but they have remained intact through a lot of sweat, contact, and picking. May be worth a shot?

I give them a rating of 3.
Hey bobman360, I have a spare neck for your gio if you want it. Really good condition. Just pay the post and its yours. I'm in Australia though. Anyway the offer is there.

Thanks man! I actually wrote a bunch of quotes all over it so I'd like to keep it. And I agree, its in the 3-4 range. I just coated it with epoxy, which was a bit drippy but it worked fairly well actually.
