I don't know if we've talked about it, but I listened to a couple minutes of the JustNick video and thought it sounded great.

The pedal sounds pretty great though, doesn't look like they're available yet from a quick google?

Does sound awesome. I Googled and got this gearmandude demo, which also sounds very cool. Nice almost synthy sounds in there:

So should a person find a used Mastotron or buy a new Fuzzolo? Seems like the tones are pretty good but are people interested in it because it's a new pedal or because it offers a different sound or because it's small?

That's a good question. I'm seeing a price of $130 on this, but isn't the Mastortron only $150? I like how versatile it sounds for how simple the design is, but you're losing a lot of potentially useful features (treble, sub) the Mastortron has for not that much in savings.

Is this a small version of the Mastotron?

Sounds great, it's tiny and it's got a picture of a snorting buffalo on it. What's not to want?
I actually like fuzz pedals with stripped-down controls, and while the "Pulse Width" control is the same as the Mastotron I'm not sure it's exactly the same circuit (although it might be - a couple of reports say it's "based around" the Wooly Mammoth and Mastotron). There's a little more info here: http://tonereport.com/reviews/zvex-fuzzolo
The Zvex Fuzzolo is an exercise in restraint. During the design process, founder Zack Vex and engineer Joel Korte asked one very simple question: what can we live without? Tone and gain controls were eliminated and what’s left is a ripping little silicon fuzz with two knobs, loads of volume and a couple of very cool tricks up its sleeve. - See more at: http://tonereport.com/reviews/zvex-fuzz ... qDS9c.dpuf
It's got an internal jumper for active pickups for bass players, too.

I like it. It's splatty, synthy and it seems fairly easy to dial in a Velcro fuzz which is something I've been looking for. Def pulling the trigger if cash permits.
