The beta & tube beta look awesome. If anyone ends up picking one up, please give us the rundown. I'm seriously interested.

Looks pretty cool, but 1000ma means I couldn't run it on my PP2+. :(

I got the Tube Beta Hybrid mkI and I'm really happy with it. I think the price is great, if you look at the competitors, as far as preamps go, you really can't beat it. The sound, if you're looking for a Model T, go buy a Model T, there's a lot more to an amp than just the preamp. But if you like Marshall plexi/supper lead/bass I would go for it because that is what the preamp of the Model T is basses off. Ampeg V4/V4b, Univox 1011, Marshall Super bass/lead, and so on. And the beta is really cool to. Another good thing about this preamp in regards to, "I can buy the Beta head for the same price" those heads are vintage heads and with that you get a lot of maintenance cost to keep them running. With this you can just go. But my honest opinion is that if you REAAAAALLLY want to nail that Sunn Model T and Beta lead tone I would just go buy the heads. If you want something that will get you in the ball park and be more versatile, IMO, I would go with this pedal. But It's important to remember that this is just the preamp of those heads so what you run it with makes a HUGE difference.

The only thing that bothers me about about an apocalypse is the thought that I would not be able to play music in a band context. My preference would be of the zombie variety. If it wasn't for that then push the button.(Save for allowing me the ability to do a little more pre preparation.) Other then that I'd say "let's do it".

There'd be some super doom being written in the aftermath of the apocalypse. For some reason end-time hip hop just doesn't seem realistic. I'm sure hank III could wing some legit old school country but that's the only exception I'm granting.

I lie. And black metal.

I say go for it. Took a long time to get the pedal and on top of that I needed to track down the correct power supply since we are dealing with tubes here. Its extra versatility and sounds excellent through a JCM 800. Its also making me second guess having 2 fuzz boxes in my chain. May make a demo soon. Anyway, the abyss is summoning me. Peace.

I've decided I'd rather save up for a Model T in itself and then I'll buy it and run it through my Model T.
