I want a new house for my Echorec. I really like my DMM for the reason it has giant knobs to play with the feedback with my toes.
Is there anyone around here that could do it? How Much? and would it be possible for the trim Pot for the Modulation to be on the outside of this
freakin thing. I love this pedal. It would be amazing if Cbread made a bigger version with switches for each tape head with leds and the Modulation on the outside. That would be my ultimate Delay evah? Anyways let me know what ya'll think. Peace

Swapping pots and switching from an internal to external mod control should be doable in a rehouse, the question is how much money you want to sink into it and how hard the thing is to work on (assuming it's SMD stuff).
I haven't had to rehouse anything in so long I don't know the major players in that or market rates though.

I don't know current market rates for rehouse. I worked on that project a bit including the PCB layout. I can tell you firsthand it won't be an easy job.

What about getting one of those Kick Disks, or now they have a thingy that looks like a giant wingnut. (Option Knob)

Yea, I loved the Echorec. I mean really, really! But end the end the modulation and gain being internal was a deal breaker. The modulation was cool on occasion, but on the other hand sounded gimmicky to me depending on the application. The box could have fit at least another knob, or a mini knob for gain.
I guess I'm too practical for "modern boutique." Gimme knobs, or a really simple refined layout/sound. Don't hide sounds on trimmers.

I love my Echorec as well but it recently took a shit on me. Signal sounds all fuzzy and broken regardless of gain setting. Noticed it first bypassed in trails mode (buffered) cuz I couldn't get my clean channel clean anymore.
It's headed in for repair tmrw.
My first Echorec died as well, mix control stopped working. Third time's a charm they say.
And yeah, I'd gladly trade the small footprint for more external control. Hate those tiny internal trims. The pedal sounds so good tho, very unique.
On a side note, Mike from Russian Circles has one on his board now days. I saw 'em recently and he makes some pretty awesome sounds with it.
